What are services?

Services are templates for the work you offer — like "Brand Identity Design" or "Website Audit." Creating services speeds up proposal creation because you can pull in pre-set scope and pricing. The Free plan includes 3 services, Pro gives you 10, Business 25, and Agency unlimited.

How do proposals work?

Describe the project and AI drafts the full scope, deliverables, timeline, and milestone-based pricing. Edit anything you want, then send a single shareable link. Your client reviews, accepts, and pays the deposit — all from one page. No back-and-forth PDFs.

How do I get paid?

Connect your Stripe account in Settings. When a client accepts a proposal, they pay a deposit upfront. As you complete work, you release milestones and funds go directly to your Stripe account. Postboard never holds your money — Stripe handles everything securely.

Does Postboard take a cut?

Never. Postboard charges 0% commission on all transactions, forever. Stripe charges its standard processing fees (2.9% + 30¢ per transaction), but Postboard adds nothing on top. We make money from optional plan upgrades, not from your earnings.

How does project management work?

When a proposal is accepted, a project is automatically created with milestones, a shared timeline, and a messaging thread. Both you and your client get a portal to track progress, exchange messages, release milestone payments, and request reviews — all in one place.

How do reviews work?

Three days after a project is marked complete, Postboard automatically sends a review request to your client. They can leave a rating and written feedback. Reviews appear on your public profile and help build trust with future clients. You can respond to any review from your dashboard.

On the Starter plan and above, you can set your weekly availability and block out specific dates. Clients can then book consultations directly from your public profile page — no external scheduling tools needed.

Yes. Go to Settings, then Data & Privacy, and click "Download My Data" to export everything — your profile, services, proposals, projects, reviews, and payment history.
