Who is Postboard for today?
The current self-serve product serves independent service professionals: freelancers, consultants, contractors, tradespeople, creatives, and similar relationship-led service businesses. It connects proposals or quotes, supported work records, invoices, and source-labeled evidence without assuming every kind of work or organization is equally served.
What can a client do without an account?
A client can use a purpose-specific shared link without creating a Postboard account. Depending on the page, they can review a proposal or invoice, sign an eligible agreement, follow supported project details, or approve or decline a pending change order. The link permits only the actions shown there, and payment is available only when that page offers it.
Is Postboard a marketplace where clients post jobs?
No. Postboard is not an open bidding pool and does not promise matched leads. It takes zero percentage commission on labor earnings. Once you connect your Stripe account, clients can pay you by card from the proposal or invoice link, and Postboard still takes no commission or payment markup.

What does Free include, and when would I pay?
Free requires no card and includes: 3 offers; 4 AI proposal drafts a month; Send your first 3 deals (a one-time allowance, not monthly); 15 AI actions a month across every AI tool; 20 Postboard AI chat queries a month. Does Postboard charge a commission?
Postboard currently takes zero percentage commission on labor earnings. Once you connect your Stripe account, clients can pay invoices and deposits by card through Stripe. Stripe sets the applicable processing fee and Postboard adds no markup.
Do my clients need an account to pay me?
No. Once you connect your Stripe account, clients pay from the proposal or invoice link by card, without creating a Postboard account, and Postboard adds no commission or payment markup. You can still record payment received outside Postboard.
Evidence and data
What does the Track Record show?
The Track Record keeps evidence sources distinct: eligible Stripe-cleared payments are payment evidence; reviews submitted through a client link are client-link reviews; imported reviews remain imported; and work a member records remains member-recorded. Signed or completed status alone does not prove payment, delivery, satisfaction, or impact. Each recipient decides whether to accept the evidence. Public profile and API evidence is available only while the record is public and serveable.
What is public, and what stays private?
Exact account financials are not public-profile data. Public evidence may show source labels, reviewer attribution, and coarse totals. Authorized participants can see the specific work and client-facing links shared with them. Client data is not placed into an open bidding pool.
What happens if I leave?
Use the supported account export before leaving. A downloaded supported export is a file you may keep, but it is not a warranty of a complete professional history, and the public profile or API does not survive account deletion. Self-service account deletion is temporarily paused while we finish a safety repair. To delete your account — or to make a California "right to delete" (CCPA) or EU/UK erasure (GDPR Article 17) request — email privacy@postboard.io and we will process it manually. Export anything you want to keep first. Deleting the account removes or anonymizes the public profile and its API access. Some payment and audit records may be retained as required for law, accounting, and dispute handling.

What can Postboard do automatically?
Postboard can prepare editable drafts and suggestions. Those do not themselves send, sign, charge, publish, delete, or change accepted terms. Each consequential effect requires its own confirmation or a separately configured bounded automation whose limits are shown. AI creates no authority by itself.
Does Postboard support teams and agencies?
The public self-serve product and current plans are for independent professionals. A team or agency may contact Postboard to discuss its needs, but an inquiry does not create, promise, or guarantee a shared workspace.
How do I get help or recover account access?
Help offers an account-support link that requires sign-in and a Contact link that does not. Forgot password requests a private account-access link. Opening the support page does not submit a case. These routes do not promise an immediate human reply or automatic recovery.
